Our Start Point: Sterling, VA 20164
Included Distance: The first 30 road miles from state point are fully covered in the service call fee.
Excess Mileage: Travel beyond 30 miles is billed at an additional $3.00 per mile, calculated transparently using Google Maps real-time routing.
Fee Breakdown:
Service Call / Travel Fee: $100 (Covers vehicle expense and travel time)
Diagnostic Fee: $150 (Includes the first hour of troubleshooting)
Initial Dispatch Payment: $250 (Required upfront to secure your dispatch slot)
Standard Repair Rate: $150 / hour (Applies after the initial diagnostic hour)
Shop Supplies & Environmental Disposal: $25 flat fee
Virginia Statutory & Invoice Terms:
Initial Payment: The $250 dispatch payment is non-refundable once our service truck departs Sterling.
VA Tax Code (§ 58.1-609.5): Separately stated mobile diagnostic labor and repair labor charges are exempt from Virginia retail sales tax. State sales tax will only apply to physical parts installed and separately listed shop supplies.
VA Mechanic Code (§ 43-33): In accordance with Virginia law, Virginia Power Tools retains a legal possessory mechanic’s lien over the equipment for all unpaid labor, diagnostics, parts, storage, and materials. Equipment will not be cleared for operation or released until the final invoice is paid in full.
Completion: Remaining repair labor and parts balances are due immediately upon job completion.
